The vbr-pdw was developed to replace all the functions of the pistol but with greater efficiency against targets at medium distances up to 100 meters.

The retractable buttstock of the vbr pdw increases the efficiency at medium range and makes it a suitable PDW as a compact stand-off weapon that can respond to the threats of Kalashnikov rifles at close range. In this way, the VBR PDW can as police weapon better suited than the Glock pistol or MP5.

The VBR-PDW-Sidearm can be carried in a holster like the familiar standard Glock pistol, but provides many additional features. Apart from the increased firepower offers the vbr-belgium pdw Sidearm the same discretion as the standard known pistol.

The Sirius Police bulletproof vest has an extra belt where many accessories can be attached and thus the load of the service belt can be distributed. In the case of the vbr belgium pdw, the vacant space on the Combat belt can be used to carry a larger ammunition supply.

The PDW combat belt consists of standard magazine pouches that are available in different colors. For personal protection and as "Stand Off" designed to ward off the enemy, the PDW combat belt can be equipped with about 400 cartridges. The low bullet weight of the 9x19mm BAP or AP cartridges are definitely an advantage, by which the total weight of the PDW combat belt remains relatively low..
